Good Day!

I can still remember the days when I imagine myself studying my dream program at my dream school. It was my childhood dream to become a Civil Engineer and to study at UST. Back then, I don’t know how I am going to pursue this, knowing that UST is a private university with expensive tuition fee. William Arthur Ward once said that if you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it. The once impossible dream has now become my reality. Last May 29, 2015, I finally graduated at University of Santo Tomas with the degree of Civil Engineering. And this would not be possible without the support that USTEAA family gave me. Thank you for believing in me and giving me your trust. For the past five years, USTEAA was one of my motivations in each day to keep moving forward towards my dream.

Hopefully, in the next few months, I would become a licensed Civil Engineer. I am positive that I will make it and make USTEAA proud of me. Studying engineering was not easy, there were sleepless nights, endless projects, lectures that you won’t understand, failed exams, and a lot more. But I won’t be able to get through all of these without the family that I found, the Thomasian community. Being a Thomasian is not just about excelling in what you do but also spreading love through what you do. My batch mates, including me, have successfully graduated because of our support for one another, because we get through hard times together, because of the sharing of knowledge, because of completing the requirements together and because of not giving up together.

Pope Francis once said that “You come to the university not just to accumulate information without knowing what to do with it, but through the love, let that information bear fruit”. Through the love that I received from my fellow Thomasians, I was able to finish studying Civil Engineering. So what’s next for me now? All I can think of is that I would use the achievements I have now for the fulfillment of my goals in life.

Once again, to my dear USTEAA family, I am eternally grateful for the love that I felt from the association, which helped me in my journey. This may now be the end of my journey as your scholar, but you would always be my family, and like a family member, I would always keep in touch with all of you. Thank you, more power to the association and hoping for more scholars to come! God Bless Us all!

Note: Please see attached files that include my graduation pictures and a copy of my grades for the last semester of school year 2014-2015. I was able to become a CUM LAUDE.

Respectfully Yours,
